Safety boundaries
Ramble Room is for ordinary conversation.
Safety starts with being honest about what Ramble Room is and what it is not. A phone room can be warm and useful without pretending to be healthcare, therapy, emergency response, or crisis support.
Jordan connects the call, explains the controls, and can give a gentle cue when someone wants to speak. Jordan does not choose the topic, steer the discussion, judge participation, record the conversation, or turn it into content.
If there is immediate danger
Call 911. If you are in emotional distress or thinking about suicide, call or text 988. Ramble Room is not an emergency service and cannot promise live crisis intervention.
Caller control
- You can listen first.
- You can leave any time.
- You can ask Jordan for help.
- You can stop future calls.
- You do not have to explain personal details to stay in the room.
House rules
Ramble Room is built for ordinary conversation. A room owner can remove someone from that room. Private block and report choices are handled separately; account-level action requires human safety review.
What Jordan should not do
- Jordan should not diagnose, treat, counsel, or give medical advice.
- Jordan should not promise that a person is safe because they joined a call.
- Jordan should not pressure someone to speak, stay, pay, or disclose personal information.
- Jordan should not replace 911, 988, caregivers, clinicians, or local support.
Caregiver and invitation boundaries
A family member, friend, or neighbor can help someone learn about Ramble Room. The person receiving calls still gets to say yes, say no, listen first, or stop future calls.
