How a Ramble Room call works

Ramble Room is built around phone calls because a call can work from a landline, flip phone, or smartphone. The caller should always know where they are, what Jordan is doing, and how to leave.

Jordan connects the call, explains the controls, and can give a gentle cue when someone wants to speak. Jordan does not choose the topic, steer the discussion, judge participation, record the conversation, or turn it into content.

Drop in through Town Square

  1. Join Ramble Room.Create your free account in the app. Phone Door is available only while individual Contributor benefits are active.
  2. Press 3.Jordan tells you what is open now.
  3. Listen first if you want.You do not have to speak right away.
  4. Join the conversation.Jordan can bring you in when you are ready.
  5. Leave any time.You can hang up or ask Jordan for help.

Scheduled rooms

Public Rooms are approved, discoverable formats hosted by an active Contributor. Private Rooms are invite-only and hold at most four people. Phone reminders happen only after specific consent and still require a readiness keypress.

What Jordan says out loud

Jordan: "Hi, this is Ramble Room. You can listen first, say hello, or leave any time."

Jordan: "This is ordinary conversation, not emergency help or therapy."

Jordan: "If you want Town Square, press 3. If you want help, stay on the line."

What the call should not require

  • No smartphone app for the core phone experience.
  • No video.
  • No public profile.
  • No social media account.
  • No pressure to perform for an audience.
