The net between nets.
You already talk to strangers on a schedule. Ramble Room is the social layer your nets don't have. Same format — check in, take turns, shoot the breeze — but the topic is whatever you want.
Not a net. A conversation.
Nets are procedural. You check in, give your signal report, pass traffic, sign off. There is not a lot of room for "tell me about the most remarkable propagation you have ever witnessed." Ramble Room is the part of ham radio where you actually get to talk.
Dedicated topic decks
How you got into radio. Equipment and shack stories. Best contacts. Propagation war stories. Emergency comms experiences. The community that shaped you. Jordan hosts but you are the experts — Jordan prompts and rotates, not educates.
Phone or app. Your choice.
Works on any phone — your HT is not required. Call in from the landline in the shack or join from the app on your tablet. Jordan calls at your scheduled time. You pick up and you are in.
SKYWARN spotters welcome
Many of our ham members are also weather spotters. The weather conversations happen naturally. If enough of you want a dedicated weather room, it will grow out of this one — same way every room starts. Two people who click, then three, then six.
Distribution is already solved
You know where to find each other. QRZ. Your club email list. The local repeater. Tell one ham and the net fills itself.
Ready to try it?
One conversation a week, free. No commitment. If it is not for you, no hard feelings.
